This class is for beginners to learn the basics of even-count peyote stitch, which is an off-loom seed bead weaving technique. We will use high quality Japanese seed beads, known as delica beads, to work our pattern. We will use graph paper and colored pencils to build your pattern and then I will guide you through the process of learning how to weave the beads together using a needle and fireline thread. You may choose to follow the pattern I provide in a color scheme of your choice, or you may choose to do another simple pattern of your own design. Light refreshments and snacks will also be provided.

Mala Bracelet & Earring Workshop
Come explore the joys of creating your own mala bead bracelets! During this workshop you will create 1 Mala Bracelet and matching earring set of your own creation. You will learn how to properly and securely string a beaded bracelet using professional grade stretch elastic cording, and learn basic wireworking techniques using jewellery pliers to create a matching pair of earrings. I will have useful books and materials with information about the qualities of each stone on hand for you to explore. Light refreshments and snacks will also be provided.
